Attend the Artist Reception Sunday, January 19, 2025, from 2-4 pm in the Sprague Room at the Bandon Library Art Gallery, Meet and see the work of Judith Ginsburg. All are welcome; refreshments will be served.

Judith Ginsburg brings us her playful paintings of Bandon’s seashore. To see them hung together here is to experience a lifting of the heart. You can call these paintings child-like, simple, or naïve in the formal sense, or you can instead just remember that sometimes, if one is fortunate, the sea and sand and stone contrive to make a place where the hard literalness of the world dissolves into a gentle realm of wonder, where naïveté is a blessing, and a child-like gaze the greatest gift. Elusive joy, with ease, thrives in such a place, and Judith has been there many times. It is the gift of these paintings. They rest the buzzing mind; they soothe the soul.
